“Basundhara – the earth” has won the National Award “RAJAT KAMAL” for Best regional film at the 57th National Film Awards for 2009
by the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, New Delhi.
The film also bagged the Prestigious “Rup knowar Jyoti Prasad Agarwalla” Award for Best Feature Film along with nine other major awards at Assam Film Award 2010, by the Cultural Department, Govt of Assam.

His third venture is Seema-the story untold. The film is based on true story. The film captures the agony of evacuation of the historic Tezpur town during the Chinese aggression of 1962.
